Alloy Wheel Repair Caerphilly
Kerbed a rim on a terraced street, or clouted a pothole on the mountain road? Our full refinishing workshop in Newport (diamond cutting, powder coating, straightening and welding) is 25–30 minutes from Caerphilly down the A468, with collection and delivery if you’d rather not make the trip.
Kerbed in Town, Battered on the Mountain
Wheels in Caerphilly take a specific kind of punishment. In town, parking is the enemy: terraced streets around the centre and castle mean daily on-street parking against high kerbs, and the rash builds up on the nearside wheels first. Out of town it’s the roads: the climb over Caerphilly Mountain towards Cardiff, the A469 up the valley past Llanbradach, and the A468 commuter run through Machen, where winter grit and freeze-thaw leave potholes that buckle rims.
We’re not a van with a rattle can. South Wales Alloys is a dedicated refinishing workshop at 1-2 Coomassie St, Newport, with spray booths, a CNC diamond-cut lathe, powder coating ovens and hydraulic straightening equipment under one roof. Every wheel is stripped, inspected, repaired and refinished properly, so it holds up to the roads that caused the damage.
Turnaround is typically 24 hours to a week depending on the job, with updates by WhatsApp. Tyre removal and balancing is £15 per wheel, handled in-house.
