Signs your alloy wheel is buckled or cracked
Most buckles and cracks start with a pothole or a hard knock against a kerb. Some are obvious, but plenty only show up as a change in how the car drives.

- A tyre that keeps slowly losing pressure
- The car pulling or feeling less settled than it did
- Uneven or early wear on one tyre
- A visible kink, flat spot or split in the rim
- A wheel that won't balance properly
Most buckles can be repaired rather than replaced, and cracks are welded where it is structurally safe to do so. Send us a photo and we will tell you what we can do.
How we straighten a buckled alloy wheel
Every wheel is straightened in-house by Carl, our workshop manager, and Wiktor.

Tyre off and checked
The tyre comes off and the wheel is checked for buckles and cracks, so we know exactly what we are dealing with before any work starts.

Pressed true
The buckle is pressed back into shape on our hydraulic straightener.
- 03
Checked for runout
The wheel is spun and checked for runout to make sure it is running true again.
- 04
Tyre refitted
The tyre goes back on, ready to collect. Tyre removal and refit are included in the price.
Alloy wheel welding and crack repair
A cracked or split alloy wheel is TIG welded, then straightened if it needs it. We only weld cracks where it is structurally safe to do so.
Crack repairs are booked in on Wednesdays. Tyre removal and refit are included in the price.
If a wheel cannot be repaired safely, we also sell brand new alloy wheels as an official Wolfrace dealer.

- £96 per wheel including VAT. Tyre removal and refit included.
- Crack repair and welding
- £126 per wheel including VAT, straightened too if it needs it. Tyre removal and refit included. Booked in on Wednesdays.
- Single wheels
- You can book just the one wheel that needs it.
- Turnaround
- Most wheels are turned around in 48 to 72 hours.
- Paying
- Card, or spread the cost with Klarna pay in 3 or Clearpay pay in 4.

- 1-2 Coomassie St, Newport NP20 2JP, Monday to Friday. We call to confirm your day.
